Installing sfslite

I used to maintain FreeBSD ports for sfslite but have had trouble submitting patches that pass all 64-bit tests, etc. If you want to help me update the port, please let me know. Instructions are still included for the FreeBSD port.

Dependencies

sfslite depends on GMP

Getting Source and Building

From SVN

The currently supported branch is sfslite 1-2, available from anonymous Subversion here:

% svn checkout svn://svn2.okws.org/ok/sfslite2/devel/1.2 sfslite-1.2

The legacy sfslite, which is closer to the original SFS libraries from which they branched, is available here:

% svn checkout svn://svn2.okws.org/ok/sfslite2/trunk sfslite-0.8

More information is available at the beginning of this document.

From Release Tarballs

We make periodic tarball releases that are downloadable from http://dist.okws.org/dist.

Build Options

In all of the above cases, use the –enable-tutorial flag to configure to enable compilation of tutorial files, especially those pertaining to the new tame system.

FreeBSD

If you run FreeBSD, then you can install sfslite via the ports tree:

# portinstall devel/sfslite

Note that there are also debugging versions of the libraries available in devel/sfslite-dbg and devel/sfslite-noopt. See installing for more information.
